Drones have been used in various fields in recent years, and the cargo industry is one of them. In particular, Amazon has taken an important step in delivering cargo by drone to its customers in California. This year, the e-commerce giant will deliver by drone.

AMAZON-FAST CARGO TECHNOLOGY

Amazon is beginning to offer rapid cargo delivery with drone technology and will initially be run in the Lockeford area of California. Customers who will benefit from Prime Air service will only be able to receive Prime Air products by drone and will place orders at regular intervals. However, Amazon's cargo drone service will only be available in California at the moment, and further research and authorization will be required before it expands to other countries such as Turkey.

Certain products will be able to be transported by drone and it is not yet known which categories will benefit from this service. However, it is said that there will be products from different sectors, from kitchen necessities to books. The drones will be able to travel at an altitude of 120 meters at speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour and carry packages up to 2-3 kilograms. "When the system launches, customers in Lockeford will be able to order items via Amazon Prime Air and wait for the drone to arrive. The drone will land in the backyard of the shipping address and drop the package from a safe height," Amazon says.

When Amazon's drone cargo service will start in Turkey is still uncertain. However, legal permissions and expansion of the drone network are required for Amazon and other companies to offer drone cargo services in Turkey.
